Sony Portable Recorders are great for capturing a wide range of sound information on cassettes virtually at any location.Double Recording Time gives you the option of recording on a standard cassette at either normal speed or half the normal speed, for extended recording or dictation sessions. Voice Operated Recording (VOR) activates the recorder only when audible sound is present, conserving tape and eliminating soundless passages. Clear Voice sound system enhances voice quality during recording and playback for greater clarity. Microphone jack allows connection of an external microphone for greater flexibility. L/R Monaural Earphone Jack provides sound in both ears when using an optional stereo headset.The Sony's TCM-20DV also features one touch recording for simplified, quick play/record operation. LED Battery Level Indicator provides a visible signal of the battery power remaining. Front Speaker has excellent sound quality to monitor tape playback. Automatic Shut-Off at end of tape reduces mechanical wear and conserves battery power. Cue/Review Function provides sound during fast Forward and Rewind modes to help find specific passages. Earphone jack for private listening is provided with optional earphone. Pause Switch allows for instant on-the-spot editing. Stop Pause Release function automatically turns off the Pause switch whenever the Stop button is pressed, to prevent loss of recording. Hinged Battery Lid helps prevent accidental loss. DC-In Jack is included for two-way power operation, using replaceable batteries or optional AC power adaptor. The attached Hand Strap affords very convenient one-hand use.
